Certified Coaches, Dedicated Practice Time and Focus on Development
The North Attleboro High School girls soccer team held their annual banquet recently and we’re proud to congratulate several NAU alumnae. Junior Varsity players Hannah Kane, Heather Davis, and Marissa Moore were awarded the Unsung Player, the Builder, and Most Improved Player awards respectively.
For the Varsity team, senior co-captain Natasha Gavilanez won the Rocketeer Award, Tess McCarthy won the 12th Player Award and Jill Costello won the Coach’s Award.
NAU alumnae Sarabeth Parent and Brooke Maher were elected captains of next year’s varsity team. Congratulations also go out to Jamie Grinavic, Sarabeth Parent and Brooke Maher who were all selected as Sun Chronicle All Stars.
Tess, Brooke, Sarabeth and Jamie were all members of NA United’s first team in the fall of 2005. Also on that team were NAHS varsity players Jess Schlicting, Erica LaFond, Coryn Maher, Liz Wallace and Hannah McCarthy. Varsity players Natasha Gavilanez, Zoe LaClair, Katherine McGwin, Ali Blanchette, Jill Costello, Courtney Hewitt and Melodie Hamilton also played for NAU.
It’s great to see the NA United program so well represented in the North Attleboro girls high school soccer program. From the beginning, NAU’s Mission has been to prepare girls for high school play. We applaud these girls for their hard work and dedication, and wish them well next year and in the future.
Our Mission at North Attleboro Youth Soccer is to offer a developmental feeder system of players who aspire to play high school soccer and beyond. We are a town travel team focused on preparing U10, U12 and U14 players. We believe teaching proper technical and tactical soccer skills, physical conditioning, and a strong sense of teamwork is the best preparation for advanced play.
